Kinniwabi Pines Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
We had a party of 4. On average the food quality was excellent. The vegetarian dish was very good. Limited choices for vegetarian but the one I had was tasty and not over salted. The pickeral (was eaten by a fisherman) was fresh and seasoned with a nice dill accent. The steak nicely seasoned with a garlic salt/pepper and very tender. The rouladen was very tender(cut with a fork) but a little salty. The spatzle was good. The vegetarian stir-fry was good with large portions. The server was short and dismissive. The wifi password was "not being given out" and the bill was prematurely given without being split. The owner was very personable.
This is my first review on a restaurant. Excellent meal, I've never had better! You start with a friendly, relaxed environment, you order then get, home made Vegetable soup, and bread. Soup was so flavorful, bread was fresh and sweet. We ordered appetizers, Calamari and a Bruschetto bread, both great, another fabulous blend of flavors. Seafood Linguine, the flavors again were amazing, creamy sauce, real crab, blended together perfectly, the wine recommended paired exactly as it should. Bison in a blueberry reduction sauce was to die for.. I'm not a fan of blueberries, but I love Bison and dont get to eat it often. The veggies were an oriental style, and I cant even discribe the potatoes! Wine recommended paired perfect. A little on the $$$ side, but I totally recommend it. Well worth the $$$. My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, I told the waiter as we were checking out and he gave us a piece of cake to take home. What I've tasted of it, it is another fabulous blend of flavors.
The food arrived hot and was so delicious. I highly recommend that you stop here. We had the grilled rainbow trout and fried pickerel. The meal starts with homemade vegetable soup and a homemade roll. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long time, so flavourful. The main meal came with dill potatoes that were perfectly spiced and sautéed vegetables that were cooked perfectly.
Small relaxed vibe in restaurant. First time I can remember ever eating hot food at a restaurant. So delicious, and belly filling portions! Our server was great. Vegetables were fresh and crispy. Definitely a place to put stop for dinner!
Cute place. We had 2 clubhouse with fries (shown in picture) and water. With 15% tip it was $57.05.
Owners and staff are lovely! Dined here on our way out west and our way back through to Niagara. Fantastic both times....veggies, seafood, freshwater fish, pasta, spicy international fare (forgot to take pics), wine, beautiful music and views. You will not be disappointed and all our dinners came with soup which was a surprise. Don't miss this gem!
This is truly a family owned restaurant, the food was impeccable, the service was amazing, everyone was so kind. We came with our young family, and although they don't have any kids menu, our daughter had the deep fried perch with french fries and she devoured it. I had the shrimp and scallop linguine and it was one of the best I've ever had, and the portions were great sizes. My husband had their trout and also loved it! We absolutely recommend if you're coming through town to stop in. I'll add a picture of my empty bowl because I forgot to take a picture before because I was too excited to eat it.
Nice wood lodge environment with chalet decor. Some wedgewood late and natures paintings on the wall. Parrot friendly . Went there as paet of my way back bikrpacking Canada Crosscountry on my Giant Pak yak. I had a nice sundae with real vanilla ice cream and real marasquino cherry . I met the sister of the girl working there in wawa no more than an hour before coming here haha.
